Our Milestones

2011

The Purple House brand launched in 2011 and has its first collaboration with SS15, INTI College, providing student accommodation with 32 beds.

2012 – 2015

Expanded to 95 beds under management for INTI College students at The Purple House 1 and The Purple House 2 hostel buildings in Subang Jaya.

2016

Partnership with Sunway Education Group and was appointed as the operator of Waterfront Residence, Bandar Sunway. Management portfolio increased to over 2,000 beds under management.

2017

Added Sun-U Apartment (880 beds) and Sun-U Residence (1,890 beds) to TPH’s management portfolio.

TPH joins the Australian-based Asia-Pacific Student Accommodation Association (APSAA).

2018

Appointed by Sunway Medical Centre to manage its nursing staff housing with 600 beds at SunMed Residence.

Recognition as No. 1 in Malaysia for Overall Accommodation Satisfaction Quality and Accommodation Office in the i-Graduate ‘Student Barometer Autumn 2018’ annual student satisfaction survey.

2019

TPH was chosen as the student hostel operator for Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur’s (IUKL) on-campus accommodation.

In the same year, TPH’s Strategic Director, Daniel Lee, joins APSAA’s Board of Directors, representing the Southeast Asian region.

Sally Qian, TPH’s Community and HR Director becomes a member of the US-based  Association of College and University Housing Officers – International (ACUHO-i), expanding TPH’s industry relationships internationally.

2020

Celebrating a significant milestone: TPH hits more than 10,000 beds under management.

Established a collaboration with Yayasan Lim Yee Hoh to develop a unique artist-inspired lifestyle residence in Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur: House of Art (HEART) Residence.

TPH also appointed to manage 2,380 co-living beds under the brand Nook Co-Living (formerly known as Co-living @ Waterfront Residence) in collaboration with Sunway Property Facilities Management.

2022

Recognised as the country’s Largest Premium Accommodation and Services Provider by the Malaysia Book of Records in 2022.

TPH expanded its exposure across related managed-living and facilities-support activities.

TPH’s Community and HR Director, Sally Qian was appointed as a Council Member of the Education Association between Malaysia and China (EAMC).

2023

TPH developed supporting communications capabilities for residence partners.
